The first Ant-Man is a good film. Immediately following Avengers: Age of Ultron is was light, funny, full of great performances, and had refreshingly small, personal stakes. Ant-Man & The Wasp continues these traditions: it’s a light, funny movie with some great performances, smaller, more personal stakes, and it immediately followed Avengers: Infinity War which had literal end-of-the-entire-universe stakes. Is this new entry in the Marvel experiment good though? Yes, yes it is! Is it better than the last one? Well… maybe?
I was in such a rush to post the trailer that I forgot to post the poster. So let’s take a look!
Yes, I am a couple days behind on this but I was out of town. In any event the first trailer for Black Panther is here and it is 🔥. Let’s watch!
Your friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man is coming to theatres for the third first time in under two months which means the marketing is about to kick into high gear. Today we got a new trailer (which is pretty good!) and two new posters (which are pretty awful!). Let’s take a look.
Holy crap, Marvel has updated their film schedule again with a sequel to Ant-Man titled Ant-Man and The Wasp. This will be the second film with a heroine’s name in the title (Captain Marvel has been rescheduled, more on that in a moment) which is a good thing. This also makes 2017, 18, 19, and 20 all 3 Marvel movie years, which is nuts.
Marvel has officially bagged the white whale.
Here’s the other big bit of Marvel news I missed. Age of Ultron has a teaser trailer and poster.
Marvel had a special press event while I was on hiatus. Let’s take a look the films they HOLY SHIT THEY ANNOUNCED ALL OF THE MOVIES??
Good news everyone! Marvel’s Ant-Man is officially in production and they’ve announced a bunch of people to the cast!
A May release date in 2018 brings the total to a dozen films between now and May 2019!
Marvel started out with a film a year at first, then went up to two, and now they’re set to increase to three.
It’s an awesome mix, just like the guardians themselves. SEE WHAT THEY DID THERE?
No, I’m not going to do a joke about the director of Yes Man being brought onto be Marvel’s Yes Man.
Remember the purple skinned guy from the mid credits stinger of the Avengers? He’s one of the big bads of the Marvel Universe. He’s going to be in Guardians of the Galaxy and likely at least appear in Avengers: Age of Ultron and the entire nerd internet has basically assumed that he’ll be the big bad of Avengers 3. And now he’s been cast.
