Waiting all summer long for your favourite shows to come back in the fall can feel like forever.  But with the magic of twitter lots of actors are now posting set selfies to give us all a little sneak peek on what they’re working on.  The best of this week includes Chicago PD, Grey’s Anatomy, Criminal Minds, Kingdom and Kevin Bacon suggesting his wife bring home her Brooklyn Nine-Nine costume.

Review: The Lego Movie

The Lego Movie

Sometimes you hear about a movie and you think “how are they going to do that?” because the concept is so weirdly specific or, as is the case with Lego, so enormously broad. I’m of the opinion that you can make a good movie out of anything though because, as it turns out, you totally can.

The Lego Movie is one of the best movies you are going to see this year. Bold words for the first week of February I grant you but it’s true. Run, don’t walk, to your nearest theatre with your best friends and watch as all the freedom of imagination you had as a kid is projected on screen. It’s seriously amazing.

I’m going to talk a little bit about why I loved this movie now but that’s going to entail some slight spoilers so my recommendation is that you stop reading and go watch. Ok? Ok.

Review: Arrested Development Season 4

Arrested Development Cast

It’s finally back. It’s finally back. Arrested Development was cancelled after just three seasons on Fox because despite critical acclaim and a dedicated fan base the series never gained enough rating to justify keeping it on the air (or so Fox said, many are dubious of this).

There have been various efforts to bring the show back through the 7 years since it’s cancellation but finally Netflix bought the rights, brought everyone back and now we have a 4th season. But is it the 4th season we’ve been waiting for? Yes and no.

Awesome: Arrested Development Season 4 to Debut 26th May

Arrested Development

Good news everyone! Netflix has announced the debut date for the forthcoming fourth season of Arrested Development. According to Deadline 26th of May is the lucky day.

Arrested Development centers around Michael Bluth (Jason Bateman) and his eccentric family comprised of his son George Michael (Michael Cera), his father George Bluth Sr (Jeffrey Tambor), his mother Lucille (Jessica Walter), his brothers George Oscar Bluth II (Will Arnett), Buster Bluth (Tony Hale) and sister Lindsay Funke (Portia de Rossi), and Lindsay’s husband Tobias (David Cross) and their daughter Maeby (Alia Shawkat). Season 4 picks up the family seven years after the original series ended, with each new episode dedicated to a different character’s point of view. Hurwitz, Brian Grazer, Ron Howard, Jim Vallely and Troy Miller executive produce.

I’ve recently started re-watching the original three seasons on Netflix in anticipation of this and I’d actually forgotten how much I love the show. The style of comedy is exactly up my alley and I really hope that the new season reaches the same level of ridiculous hilarity.

Today, following yesterday’s announcement, a new poster showed up on the Arrested Development Facebook page so here’s a look at that too.
