This week on the show, we’re looking at Anatomy of a Fall and the latest entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, The Marvels.

This week WandaVision comes to a close with a nearly hour-long episode, fittingly titled “The Series Finale”. This episode will bring the story to a close (mostly, this is Marvel we’re talking about), but is it successful? There’s only one way to find out.
Heads up, I wrote the recap a little differently this week, with a section dedicated to each character. It was definitely easier to write, and I hope it’s easier to read.

Last week ended with the appearance of Wanda’s brother Pietro, but now played by actor Evan Peters, who played a version of the character featured in the Fox X-Men movies. It was a hell of a twist, and this week starts to deal with that. A little bit.

Here we are, folks! Today and for the next 7 weeks, I’ll be recapping WandaVision, the latest entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the first entry to be a mini-series on Disney+. At the end of Avengers: Endgame the entire Marvel universe had been shattered and re-assembled. Half the universe was wiped from existence and brought back five years later. A few casualties stuck, one of whom was Paul Bettany’s Vision, the android created by a combination of The Avengers, their enemy Ultron, and the power of one of the infinity stones.
WandaVision is the first new entry in the Marvel Cinematic Universe in over a year. The first new entry to be a TV series features the return of Vision and his paramour Wanda Maximoff to a world that looks a lot like a TV sitcom. It’s weird, and it’s delightful.

The next phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe is set to include, as of this writing, 7 TV series on Disney+ in addition to the six currently announced films. The “Cinematic Universe” is officially more of a “mixed media universe.” Remember when part of the appeal of the films was that they made the impenetrable web of comic book continuity accessible again to new fans? That feels like it’s nearly over.
Anyway, the first of the Disney+ series to hit the service is going to be WandaVision, in which Scarlet Witch seems to be living out a 50s TV fantasy life with Vision. Only one issue: Vision is dead. So what is going on? Let’s take a look!
