Gareth Edwards made his first big splash with _Monsters_ and love it or hate it _Godzilla_ has made all the money in the last week. So where to next? Star Wars, obviously.
I walked out of my showing of Godzilla with incredibly mixed feelings. It’s not a bad movie, but it’s not a great one either. It suffers from pacing issues and some stiff performances, but it also has a big ass monster fight in the style of the 30-odd movies that have come before this one.
Is that enough though? That’s the problem: I’m not sure it is.
Here’s another Godzilla Poster with the beast himself flashing his spikes. Oh behave.
Here’s the international trailer for Godzilla. Not a lot of new footage, but enough to keep me excited.
There’s a trailer now and it looks like the film is going to deliver on the promise of a giant monster spectacle.
I’m beyond excited about next year’s *Godzilla* reboot. All the pictures (and illicit footage) so far have just looked *right*. Want to see it in action?
We’ve already had some indication that [the new Godzilla might be the right size](https://awesomefriday.ca/2013/07/awesome-godzilla-gets-an-another-poster-and-it-is-good/), and now we may have confirmation that they may not have given the Kaiju we love a new face!
That’s a good thing, in case we’re not clear.
Nope, we’re not quite done. In case you wernt aware there is a new Godzilla movie in the works for next year. It’s being helmed by Gareth Edwardds, the guy behind the indie film _Monsters_ which if you are wondering how this guy got handed Godzilla, well, go see it and you’ll understand.
There’s probably going to be a bunch of info revealed at the upcoming ComicCon in San Diego, and as a tease to that there’s an awesome new poster.
