2016 is going to be a big year for things we’ve seen before.

[THR reporting from CineEurope](http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/cineeurope-paramount-screens-transformers-age-712745) that attendees saw some footage from _Transformers: Age of Extinction_ but then also just casually drops that Transformers 5 is definitely happening along with _Paranormal Activity 5_, the _Ben Hur_ directed by Timur Bekmambetov, _Beverly Hills Cop 4_, _GI Joe 3_, _Hansel and Gretel 2_, and _Star Trek 3_.

Most of this isn’t news, basically all of those are greenlit and have been for a while, but Transformers 4 isn’t even out yet and they’re announcing Transformers 5. I want to say that’s weird but then again the franchise is one of the highest grossing despite being one of the worst reviewed of all time so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised by anything.

So there it is. 2016: The Summer of Sequels. More so that usual. If anything original comes up we’ll let you know.
