Yesterday we did a [round up of the casting rumours](https://awesomefriday.ca/2014/06/straight-outta-compton-a-movie-about-n-w-a-is-happening-casting-underway/) for the forthcoming _Straight Outta Compton_, today they released the first cast photo and the players are slightly different.

The back row is Ice Cube, director F. Gary Gray, and Dr. Dre.

The front row is O’Shea Jackson as his father Ice Cube (holy family resemblance Batman!), Jason Mitchell as Easy E, and Corey Hawkins as Dre (thought to be Marcus Callender yesterday).

No word on casting for Yella or MC Ren, but the official release date is now set at 14 August 2015.
