News / Comments Off on #BBCAN3 ep 17 – Marsha, Marsha, Marsha! (A Hat Tip to Production)

bbcan3Two days ago in my Kentucky Fried Veto post I said “I almost feel bad for Production this season. Almost, but not quite, because they haven’t brought back Marsha the Moose and we’re five weeks in!” Well, I take it all back. Because Marsha the Moose has returned! Yay Trevor Boris! And boy did she return in one hell of a fashion. We’ll get to the “news” but first I think it’s time to pump Production’s tires a bit. Continue reading…

Joker / Jared Leto

Pictured above is the look of The Joker as he’ll appear in Suicide Squad and the rest of the DC Movie Universe. He’s played by Jared Leto, who I actually rather like, and he looks… different.

#BBCAN3 ep 16 – Kentucky Fried Veto

News / Comments Off on #BBCAN3 ep 16 – Kentucky Fried Veto

bbcan3Last night one of the people who has followed all my Big Brother Canada recaps (possibly the only person?), Sam, compared the cast’s behaviour this season to high school. Sam hit the TWISTOS TWIST nail on the head. It’s exactly like that. Or like what MTV’s The Real World has become. Horny 20-somethings falling back on cliques, getting drunk and making out. Television / Comments Off on #BBCAN3 ep 15 – The Best Lie is None At All

bbcan3The two worst things that a person can do while in the Big Brother house is a) have a big ego & b) tell a big lie. Gossip, backstabbing, and failed coups will not damage your game as much as those two things. And when the two are combined? Someone is about to go down. Spectacularly. Continue reading…

bbcan3Come on, it’s not like Brutus was ever going to run things. He sold out Caesar for nothing. Silly, Brutus. Thought he had everything worked out, thought he was being so smart, but even his lover was working against him. All hail Caesar! Continue reading…

Remedy. It’s the Family You Choose That Matters Most.

remedy_s2_mainelementI always knew I would watch Remedy. I didn’t know I would love it.

With the epidemic of hyperbole filling every last gap of the internet it would be easy to blow off that statement. Content is being created on so many platforms I feel like every other day someone is telling me about the “best show ever”. Binge-watching has become an accepted term and celebrated practice. Emotions and descriptors have gone off the rails.

This isn’t that. Continue reading…

Daredevil Review: Too Long, But Pretty Good Anyway

Television / Comments Off on Daredevil Review: Too Long, But Pretty Good Anyway

Daredevil

I’ve finally seen all of Daredevil, the first of Marvel’s (current) 5 Netflix shows. So here’s a quick rundown of what I thought of all 13 episodes. TL;DR version? I liked it, but I didn’t love it. Also, this review will contain spoilers. I’ll keep it to a minimum but it is just not going to be possible to avoid them all, and since I like it enough to recommend you watch it, well, … you’re warned anyway.
