Re-reading [my review](https://awesomefriday.ca/2014/09/review-the-maze-runner/) it sounds like I was kinda down on the film but _The Maze Runner_ really is an engaging movie right up until the end when it rams a whole bunch of “this is totally going to be a trilogy” BS down your throat.

So good news everyone! The Maze Runner made all the money this past weekend (well, all the money that September releases make: _Only_ $33 Million domestic) and as such the second book is now being adapted and will be in theatres in a years time: 18 September 2015.
