Oh hey, it’s SDCC catch up time!

The DC universe has been, to date, a bit….. dark. Excepting **Wonder Woman** the films have been dark and brooding and grim. If that’s your thing, cool. It hasn’t seemed to be most peoples thing though and DC seems to be listening to those people. So here’s the first trailer and poster for **Aquaman**, both of which are bright and colourful and fun looking!

Look, all the DC movies except **Wonder Woman** have sucked to some degree, but I kind of liked **Justice League**, and in particular I liked Jason Momoa as Aquaman _in_ **Justice League**. So seeing Momoa in this trailer seeming to maybe have the time of his life? Kinda cool. He seems to really want to the thing to work and he seems to really enjoy the whole experience, which I love.

Seeing the vibrant undersea world of Atlantis, and the bright, weird characters who live there is kinda cool too! James Wan is a great director, having helmed some of the best horror movies in recent memory as well as one of the biggest and best regarded entires in the **Fast & Furious** franchise, **Furious 7**. He definitely has the chops to take on the material, story wise and effects wise, and I’m very excited to see what he’s created here.

Look, I am moderately hyped for this movie. It looks like it might be a ton of fun. I guess the only way we’ll find out is to see it when it premieres in December.
