And it’s really, really good. Take a look!
Based on the first trailer I’d already written this off as something that everyone, Will Smith especially, will want to forget quickly. But this just looks *fantastic*. There’s such a strong feeling of chaotic fun (really emphasised by being cut beautifully to a Queen song) that I *really* hope it gets carried over into the movie. Also, it’s notable that I hardly want to throw Jared Leto out of a window *at all* after watching it. Even Jai Courtney doesn’t look terrible, which is not a sentence I thought I’d ever write.
Anyway, the whole film could be a write-off and it would still be OK: the casting of Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn is *so perfect* that it could probably elevate the film above any of its worst elements. We’ll find out when it’s released in August. And, now, I’m actually excited to see it come together!
