2014! I had another baby and as such my Best Of The Year list is maybe not as exhaustive as Matt’s, but I could tell you anything you need to know about *Go, Diego, Go!*. And how 3am feels.
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is the best movie of the summer so far. That’s not as high of praise as it should be, this summer has been rife with disappointment, but it’s high praise none the less. It’s not a perfect movie but whatever missteps it has are all ultimately forgivable given how spot on the rest of the movie is.
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is out this weekend and that story picks up a full ten years after James Franco accidentally started the end of the world by trying to cure Alzheimer’s. Reportedly there isn’t much more than a pre-credits “the world ended” rundown in the movie but just in case you wanted some more info 20th Century Fox have teamed with Vice and Motherboard to bring you three short films set in the first, fifth, and tenth years of that decade.
These aren’t required viewing for the film but they are required viewing if you like film, I think.
Another poster for _Shit! Here Come The Monkeys Again! Dawn of the Planet of the Apes_ has been released and it really capitalizes on how awesome the image of a monkey on a horse with a gun can be.
Holy shit it’s kind of amazing. Sorry, not kind of. It’s amazing. The clip you’re about to watch has Andy Serkis, Toby Kebbell, and a few others acting in mo-cap gear of the left and the final product on the right.
Remember _Rise of the Planet of the Apes_ and how while James Franco and a few others had top billing the real star was Andy Serkis as the mo-capped Caesar? Well if these new posters are any indication at all then the apes are going to be the stars of the follow up _Dawn of the Planet of the Apes_ in a big way. Let’s take a look.
