Best Movie of 2021: Space Sweepers

The perfect blend of a big swing of chunky sci-fi nonsense, wrapped in a hilarious script with characters to die for . The end reveal had me screaming and shouting on my feet. MORE, PLEASE.

Best TV show of 2021: Midnight Mass

An absolutely stunning piece of art that has special resonance to anyone raised in Christianity (hello there). My first experience of Mike Flanagan but it made me an instant convert. A glimpse into the universe, with a script and cast all up to the challenge.

Best Game of 2021: Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy

The best version of these idiots in any media. Funny, exhilarating and genuinely poignant, it may be a touch too long but there was never a second where it dragged. This is what happens when you allow a team who clearly loved the source material to make a standout single-player game without it needing to be a service or bloated with IAPs. An amazing achievement, and I use “BOOM. You have failed your health inspection” almost daily.
