Good news everyone! An awesome book is being made into a movie!

**The Sisters Brothers**, a book that we here at Awesome Friday World HQ love, is on it’s way to theatres. The rights were sold last year to John C. Reilly’s production company, then Jake Gyllenhaal, Joaquin Phoenix, and Riz Ahmed joined Reilly in the cast, and Jacques Audiard (of **Dheepan** and **Rust and Bone** fame) signed to direct, and now according to [The Hollywood Reporter](http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/cannes-annapurna-lands-noir-western-sisters-brothers-1002418) Annapurna has picked it up for production and distribution.

The story, a noir western, revolves around Eli and Charlie Sisters, brothers who are hied to track down a kill a man at the height of the California gold rush.

Production on **The Sisters Brothers** begins this summer, presumably for a 2018 release date.
