The marketing people for _The Hobbit: The Battle of Five Armies_ are drip feeding us new material on twitter. Three new posters in the last three days, two of which are for characters who weren’t in the book.
These follow suit with the [Bilbo and Gandalf posters already released](https://awesomefriday.ca/2014/10/the-hobbit-the-battle-of-five-armies-first-character-posters/). Again there’s nothing wrong with them but I’m finding that I’m just waiting for this movie to be over rather than waiting to see it.
I sincerely hope it’s good. I really do. I just wish I didn’t expect it to be exhausting. All the stuff they cut out of The Lord of the Rings made it a much tighter movie. All the stuff they’ve added to these (including a whole third movie) just make them feel overlong and bloated. Case in point: Does Galadriel even have a big enough part to warrant a poster? Not convinced she does.
They’re releasing a poster a day on twitter it seems. I’m not going to post them every day, I’ll keep blogging at least a few at a time.
