_The Hobbit: The desolation of Smaug_ was a long movie titled “The Hobbit” which didn’t feature much of the titular hobbit. If this poster is any indication the concluding film in the series will be much the same.
It’s an awesome poster though.
Yeah, it uses the “hero with back to audience faces off against danger/evil/challenge” cliche, but it’s still an awesome shot of Smaug. What I’m a little perplexed by is that that is Bard the Bowman on the poster and not Bilbo. In fact Bilbo doesn’t seem to be on the poster at all? It is still a hobbit movie, right? Guys?
