In the latest 80s television to movie adaptation Denzel Washington kills a bunch of guys. Let’s watch!
I never watched the show but as I recall it featured an older ex special ops guy working for people in trouble to atone for past sins. This… doesn’t really look like that? It looks like ex special ops guy who tries to get out of the life but is pulled back in by his conscience. That’s not a bad thing, but is it what the show was?
Oh wait, not sure I really care. It’s gonna be Denzel kicking ass and that’s good enough for me. Is it good enough for fans of the show? Only time will tell.
Here’s the poster which I kinda like. Simple yes, but I like it.
And here’s the Synopsis:
> In The Equalizer, Denzel Washington plays McCall, a former black ops commando who has faked his death to live a quiet life in Boston. When he comes out of his self-imposed retirement to rescue a girl, Teri (Chloë Grace Moretz), he finds himself face to face with ultra-violent Russian gangsters. As he serves vengeance against those who brutalize the helpless, McCall’s desire for justice is reawakened. If someone has a problem, the odds are stacked against them, and they have nowhere else to turn, McCall will help. He is The Equalizer.
The Equalizer is out 26th September.
