Remember _Rise of the Planet of the Apes_ and how while James Franco and a few others had top billing the real star was Andy Serkis as the mo-capped Caesar? Well if these new posters are any indication at all then the apes are going to be the stars of the follow up _Dawn of the Planet of the Apes_ in a big way. Let’s take a look.
Apes in war paint. I like it. The film takes place a decade after the end of _Rise of the Planet of the Apes_ when **Spoiler Alert** the virus released at the end of that movie has devastated the human race and the apes have formed a young nation of their own. Those two groups are headed toward a major conflict and, well, if you’re at all familiar with _Planet of the Apes_ then you pretty much know how it’s going to turn out in the end, right?
Director Matt Reeves has announced that we’ll get our first look at the film in a weeks time, too:
And the trailer premiere is coming too…

So we’ll be sure to get that posted when it goes live.
Dawn of the Planet of the Apes will be released 11th July 2014.
