Not too long ago we had some [teaser posters](https://awesomefriday.ca/2013/07/x-men-days-of-futre-past-teaser-posters/) for _X-Men: Days of Future Past_ and now we have a full on viral marketing campaign kicking off. Today saw the launch of the [website for Trask Industries](http://www.trask-industries.com/), the antagonist in the forthcoming film.
There’s a lot to get through here so let’s get started. I’m going to assume that you’ve look at the site too, and I’m going to talk about some of the things that I’ve noticed.
First, I’m loving the 70s photo of Peter Dinklage.
Second, here’s an embed of the video:
That’s pretty effectively creepy. I’d like to see the sentinels in action but that’ll likely be saved for trailers.
Next up, worried that the sentinels look kind of small?
So it looks like they’ll be roughly 4-5 times the height of a person, which is just about right.
What I’m curious about now is how they are going to adapt the story. _Days of Future Past_ in the comics concerns Kitty Pryde going back in time to alter a moment in history that inspired anti-mutant hysteria. Here are two posters that seem to back up that part of it:
These are some seriously cool posters. I love how they evoke propaganda posters from the World War 2 era, and basically every communist poster I’ve ever seen.
We know that we’re going to see basically all the big names from both the present day X-Men films and from the 60s set First Class, so my guess now is that the First Class timeline turns into a terrible, sentinel filled place and someone travels back in time to alter it and it becomes the present day timeline?
That works for me, actually. My hope here is that we’ll get another good film such as _First Class_ and not end up with another _The Last Stand_. However if it ends up being in the “good but not great” I might be fine with that, especially if next years crop of blockbusters is as bad as this years.
If you haven’t already be sure to check out [the rest of the site](http://www.trask-industries.com/) as there’s a lot of juicy stuff there regarding the sentinels, the history of Bolivar Trask himself and other mutant fighting tech.
Days of Future Past comes out 23rd May 2014.
