Ok folks you asked for it: Deadpool is getting his own movie. I have mixed feelings about this.

Next week sees the release of the latest film in the X-Men franchise: Days of Future Past. Why not give yourself a refresher on what led up to that movie by checking out 2011s First Class?
Featuring a story that chronicles the early days of mutant kind and the friendship between James McAvoy’s Professor Xavier and Michael Fassbenders Magneto, and how that friendship became animosity. It’s great stuff with great performances by McAvoy and Fassbender as well as Jennifer Lawrence as Mystique, Nicholas Hoult as Beast, and Kevin Bacon as Sebastian Shaw.
It’s not a perfect movie but it’s easily the best of the X-Men films to date, it’s fun, it’s exciting, it has great action and a fantastic score, and what else do I really need to say here? Below are referral links to the movie on iTunes and Amazon, pick yourself up a copy and help us keep the lights on at the same time.
Thanks, enjoy, and have a great weekend!
Channing Tatum wants to play Gambit and it looks like Lauren Schuler Donner will grant him his wish.

Yes I’m slightly behind in linking this up but it’s still pretty cool. Is the movie going to be any good though?
All the X-Men films are already in one universe, or at least they will be after the forthcoming Days of Future Past, so here is the least surprising news of the week: Fox wants to make more individual X-Men movies. Shocker!
As in shocking, but meant sarcastically. Not trying to name a mutant or anything.
The marketing machine is ramping up for X-Men: Days of Future Past. Here are a bunch of trailers which are… well some of them are good and some of them are awful. I’ll let you be the judge.
Today’s the day people, there is finally a full trailer for X-Men: Days of Future Past. Let’s watch!

Not too long ago we had some teaser posters for X-Men: Days of Future Past and now we have a full on viral marketing campaign kicking off. Today saw the launch of the website for Trask Industries, the antagonist in the forthcoming film.
There’s a lot to get through here so let’s get started. I’m going to assume that you’ve look at the site too, and I’m going to talk about some of the things that I’ve noticed.
It’s been a while since we linked one of these up! Over the last little while CinemaSins hs recounted all the sins of the first three X-Men films. Let’s watch!

Outside of the Marvel Cinematic Universe the X-Men universe maintained by 20th Century Fox is tied for longest, and is probably the next best in terms of continuity, but over all the films have been incredibly hit or miss. We’ve had two truly great movies in X-Men: First Class and X2: X-Men United, a good movie in X-Men and two pretty terrible films in X-Men 3: the Last Stand and X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
So how does the latest entry stack up? Pretty good actually. Or mostly, anyway.
Wolverine comes out this week but next year we get a full on sequel to X-Men: First Class with X-Men: Days of Future Past. That film seeks to unite the First Class timeline with the existing X-Men timeline via time travel, which maens we’ll see the younger mutants from First Class interacting with their older selves as well as some familiar faces from the first three movies.
And now, thanks to Entertainment Weekly we have some teaser posters.
Remember a while back I posted some awesome sumi-e style posters for The Wolverine characters? Well I totally forgot to post the other two that were available, so here they are now.
