Greetings programs!  Welcome back to our two-episode extravaganza! In this episode we review and discuss Francis Ford Coppola’s biggest swing in decades, Megalopolis and Jason Reitman’s Saturday Night, a close look at the 90s minutes preceding the first-ever broadcast of Saturday Night. We have a ton to say about each so join us!

Podcast: Inedia & It’s What’s Inside (& Transformers One)

Greetings programs!  On this week’s show, we’re taking on two exciting films.  First up, a BC shot indie film that played as part of the 2024 Vancouver International Film Festival, Inedia.  Then we turn our attention to a new Netflix release, the single-location mystery movie It’s What’s Inside.  Both films are exciting for some of the same and some entirely different reasons, and we have a lot to say about each of them!  Additionally, we talk about Transformers One for a few solid minutes, which means this episode covers three films we both liked!

Review: John Wick: Chapter 2

*John Wick* was a low-budget passion project that was fuelled by Keanu Reeves’ singular focus, reinvigorating his career in the process. So what happens when you take its unique style and add sequel money? Exactly what you’d think. *John Wick: Chapter 2* takes what came before and expands in almost every direction, and creates some spectacular moments in the process. The problem, though, is that *John Wick* now wants to be a *franchise*, and its increased focus on worldbuilding isn’t entirely successful.

Review: Man of Steel

Man of Steel

I feel like somewhere here there was a great movie waiting to happen. That’s not to immediately say that Man of Steel is _bad_, but I do very much feel that it could have been quite a bit better than it is. There are a lot of things to like here but the film is hampered by its writing, both in terms of dialogue and pacing.

Should you see it? Yeah, it’s fucking gorgeous to watch. Will you enjoy it? I’m not really sure, and here’s why.
