Nicolas Cage envers stops working. It seems like he puts out a film a month or so which is how you end up with everything from Oscar worthy outings to, well, you know. Hayden Christensen hasn’t done a movie in ages and when he does he gets mixed reviews. Does this seem like a match made in heaven to you? Then you should probably watch this trailer for Outcast.
This trailer spends about a minute looking like a bad movie and then Nic Cage shows up with a ridiculous British accent, drunkenly talks back to a 14 year old, proclaims himself a legendary outlaw, and suddenly this movie looks like it might live squarely in “so bad it’s good” territory, and another piece of the “Nic Cage: Good or Bad?” puzzle.
No info on a release date for this yet but I’m actually kind of looking forward to it because Cage’s worst performances are often the most fun to watch.
Here’s the official synopsis:
> Nicolas Cage, Hayden Christensen, and Yifei Liu star in the tale of a mysterious warrior teams up with the daughter and son of a deposed Chinese Emperor to defeat their cruel Uncle, who seeks their deaths.
