Good news: It looks good!
So this obviously comes via [Entertainment Weekly](http://popwatch.ew.com/2014/07/16/this-weeks-cover-avengers-age-of-ultron). First up: yes, this looks pretty much exactly how Ultron needs to look. Second off, look at all the Ultrons (more on that in a second)! Third, Look at the updates to Iron Man and Captain America’s suits. The new Iron Man armour looks good but Capt’s new suit looks exactly right. I never hated his suit in Avengers but this is a big step in the right direction.
The article goes on to confirm much of what we all thought about the setup too:
* James Spader is doing the performance capture for Ultron as well as the voice.
* Tony Stark creates Ultron (as opposed to Hank Pym in the comics).
* Tony Stark creates Ultron –a sentient, learning AI to command an army of drones he’s created to take the pressure off The Avengers– but things go south and Ultron wants to “save us”.
* Ultron can upload himself to different systems and drones and build new ones and so on and so forth.
I’m glad they are doing Mo-cap, it’s basically always better when the actors have something to, you know, act against. I’m also glad that Ultron _isn’t_ going to be a corrupted version of J.A.R.V.I.S. Jarvis is already morphing into being Vision so that would be confusing. Plus it sets up a whole “brother vs. brother” thing. I’m also glad that Ultron will be able to be in many bodies at once because otherwise The Avengers would have to fight him one at a time and that’s… boring, anyway.
My only hesitation is that the “Ultron wants to rule us to save us” is a plot I’ve seen before. Hell, that’s exactly the plot of _I, Robot_.
Either way this looks like it will look exactly as awesome as I hoped it would. _Avengers: Age of Ultron_ is out next spring and I, for one, cannot wait.
