Ambitious is a word you could use to describe this.
[Nikki Finke](http://nikkifinke.com/), late of Deadline, has the scoop and if it’s true what a scoop it is. This is the list of films that DC is set to announce at ComicCon in July:
> May 2016 – Batman v Superman
> July 2016 – Shazam
> Xmas 2016 – Sandman
> May 2017 – Justice League
> July 2017 – Wonder Woman
> Xmas 2017 – Flash and Green Lantern team-up
> May 2018 – Man Of Steel 2
That’s seven films in 2 years for those of you not counting. Sandman isn’t really going to be in the main continuity but that’s still six movies in the Man of Steel-verse in 2 years and that’s friggin’ crazy.
A few notes of interest here:
Ryan Reynolds out as Green Lantern. Not really surprising given how poorly received his outing was and since _Man of Steel_ is the baseline there’s no reason not to reboot it. Other than the crazy short amount of time, that is.
Man of Steel 2 is on that list, meaning that a standalone Superman movie is happening. That’s a good thing. I hope they get it right.
Wonder Woman should probably be a lot sooner on that list. We don’t know what Marvel is announcing for the latter half of 2016 but it might be Ms Marvel and it’ll be a big deal if Marvel has a female led comic book movie out before DC has _the_ female led comic book movie out.
Flash, will it be the guy playing him on TV this fall or will it be separate continuity? My bet is on the latter because I have no faith in DCs ability to pull that level of interconnectivity off.
Yes, they are still calling it _Batman v Superman_.
So that’s the potential plan. We’ll find out more for sure next month but in the mean time what do you guys think of the lineup?
