Yup. This is a thing that is happening. Kelsey Grammer is taking the role that Nicolas Cage would have had.

Michael Bay was a fan of that show, which led to Grammer being cast as the villain in Transformers: Age Of Extinction.

Ok you know what? I’m on board with this. Kelsey Grammer may be pretty typecast, but I love it when casting like this that seems really strange ends up paying off.

So let’s just hope it pays off.
