Greetings, programs, and welcome to a very special episode of the podcast. This week instead of our usual two things, we are reviewing one or eight, depending on your perception of the universe. Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities is an 8-episode horror anthology that is now out on Netflix, and we are looking at all eight episodes. We both have strong feelings about them; listen in to find out what they are!Continue reading “Podcast: Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities”
Letterman is stepping down from Late Night soon and when he does it’ll be the end of an era. Over his long and storied career in late night his most enduing bit has been the Top Ten list, and the celebrity that comes up most often in the Top Ten list is Regis Philbin.
I don’t know why but it’s hilarious. So here’s a compilation of some small percentage of all the times Regis was the punchline.
The premiere of Agent Carter is fast approaching so the marketing is starting to pick up, which means we have another awesome poster to show you!
Marvels next foray into television is an 8 episode mini series about Agent Peggy Carter, master spy, founding member of S.H.I.E.L.D., and generally awesome character.
The series is set in the 40s, post WW2 and post Captain America becoming a capsicle and will depict the early days of the spy organization.
And it has a totally awesome poster!
Seriously, how awesome is that? I love the retro style.
Agent Carter debuts in January and will complete its full run before Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Returns in March. I, for one, am looking forward to it.
It actually looks like Hellblazer!
Just one season and one movie short of six seasons and a movie.
Marvel is looking to own your TV set the same way they currently own your local movie theatre.
The new Batman show, which doesn’t haveBatman in it, now has a trailer.
David S. Goyer, screenwriter of _Man of Steel_ and the forthcoming _Man of Steel 2 / Superman vs. Batman_ gave an interview to IGN and, well, his answers pretty much confirm what I already thought.
It’s happening and there is nothing we can do to stop it.
Everyone rejoice! The 1966 Batman TV Series is finally coming to home video. Or DVD. Or Blu-Ray-Charles Disk. whatever the kids are calling it now. I’ll probably just buy it on iTunes anyway.
Conan O’Brien has the scoop. Which is, well, kinda cool actually.
Joseph Gordon-Levitt is a pretty cool guy. A few years ago he started a collaborative production company called HitRECord and started working with people from everywhere to make collaborative short movies and books and records and all kinds of stuff. All this is now culminating in a TV show appropriately called HitRECord on TV. You can watch the first episode here, and I encourage you to do so as it’s something kinda special.
If you watch Archer then you will find this hilarious, if you don’t watch Archer you will also find this hilarious but you seriously need to go watch Archer right now, that way you’ll know just how often the song _Danger Zone_ comes up.
Which makes this awesome promo for season five, in which they have recreated the music video for Danger Zone by Kenny Loggins, awesome.
Another week, another adventure in the Marvel universe. This week’s _Agent’s of S.H.I.E.L.D._ has a few twists and turns, ish. As with last week I’m not going to do a straight recap but rather just talk about the key points as I see them, things of interest that I’ve noticed, and anything else that I find cool (or not).
This will assume you’ve watched the show so yes of course there will be spoilers.
So let’s take a look at _”The Asset”_.
So this is a thing that is happening.
