I really liked Zombieland. It’s not a perfect film by any stretch of the imagination but it has a great cast and a solid premise, and a few big laughs.
It was a surprise hit and made a ton of money so it’s no surprise that it got a sequel. What is surprising is that the sequel feels exactly the same as the original. That’s not always a deal-breaker, but ten years and a radically changed socio-political landscape in this world mean little to no updates in the new film definitely are a dealbreaker.

Have you ever seen that one movie? You know the one, it’s based on a young adult novel and it’s starring a hot young actor alongside a few veteran adults? The one where the trailer looked pretty cool but then when you saw it you realized that they had cut so much of the actually important parts of the story that the movie ended up not being very good?
Yeah I saw that movie tonight. It’s called Ender’s Game.

August: Osage County is an award winning play. In fact in 2008 it won 5 Tony’s including the award for Best Play. It chronicles the interactions of a semi-estranged family in the wake of a death and funeral. The play –which I’ve seen– is amazing and knowing that it’s not surprising at all that they’ve managed to get so many stars, established and upcoming, on board. And now there’s a new trailer.
