Aliens misinterpret classic arcade video games as an act of war and retaliate using classic arcade game forms, and the world fights back by recruiting classic video game champions. It sounds ridiculous, and it is ridiculous, but these posters are awesome.

The movie has promise but I am not sure who I feel about Adam Sandler being in the lead. He can be great, he hasn’t been lately. Hopefully Chris Columbus can reign him in to a good performance. Still the supporting cast is great: Kevin James, Michelle Monaghan, Peter Dinklage, Josh Gad, Brian Cox, Ashley Benson, and Jane Krakowski, and it looks like it might be beautiful to watch, so I’m gonna go ahead and say I’m tentatively looking forward to it.
