This week from around the web, a little peek at what’s going on with some of your favourite shows and movies. Make sure to check out the extra adorable piglets making a guest appearance on Cougar Town.
Arrow’s Felicity Smoak played by Emily Bett Rickards with a new character this season, Donna Smoak played by Charlotte Ross.
Arrow premieres Wednesday, October 8th!
Cougar Town will be back for a sixth (and likely final) season sometime in 2015! If you haven’t seen it yet it’s a must watch.
No idea what they’re doing on Funny or Die, and honestly I had no idea I wanted to see these two work together. But I do, and I can’t wait for the reveal.
Foxcatcher is the movie everyone has been buzzing about since Cannes. It’s likely the movie that’s also going to get the most attention at TIFF, and clearly had some fans at Telluride. This is your early Oscar race one to watch.
Speaking of Shondaland (Shonda Rhimes’ production company), it’s going to dominate Thursdays this fall. Grey’s Anatomy kicks off the back-to-back 3 hour Shondaland experience that starts September 25th on ABC.
Unfortunately fans of Grimm (and #shirtlessrage) will have to wait a bit longer before seeing how things turn out in Portland. Season 4 of the show won’t premiere until October 24th. Until then you’ll have to be satisfied with following the cast (and crew and writers) on twitter, who I’m pretty sure are having more fun in 140 characters than any other cast out there. Check them & their hashtag games out: @mistergiuntoli @BitsieTulloch @RealBreeTurner @SashaRoiz @clairecoffee @michaelgolamco
Speaking of long waits, The Walking Dead will be back on October 12th. Still no word on where that car drove away to in the spring. Or if it will be coming back at all.
And in the realm of, what is this movie, when does it come out, let me google that we have Stretch from writer/director Joe Carnahan (The Grey, The A-Team, Smokin’ Aces). It stars Patrick Wilson (pictured), Chris Pine, Jessica Alba, Brooklyn Decker, Ray Liotta, Ed Helms, James Badge Dale… a whole list of people including David Hasselhoff.
