Speaking of Vancouver Local Ryan Reynolds, he and T.J. Miller improvising is worth 6 and 1/2 minutes of your time.

Trailers / Comments Off on Big Hero 6 Trailer: Disney + Marvel + Animation = Smash Hit?
Disney Animation Studios has had a bit of a resurgence lately and this fall they’re pretty much going to cement the idea that they are the Disney of animation again with this collaboration with Marvel because both of those names plus a movie that looks like it might be great are going to be mean dolla dolla bills yo.
Or whatever the kids these days are saying. Let’s watch!
Movies, Reviews / Comments Off on Review: Transformers: Age of Extinction Is Bad
There’s going to be a vocal contingent that argues that Age of Extinction is the best Transformers movie. It isn’t. It’s not the worst (here’s looking at you Revenge of The Fallen) but it’s really not the best either. That whole discussion is kind of ridiculous though because when you stop and think you’ll realize that you’re arguing which f these terrible movies is the least terrible. If you think that’s _Age of Extinction more power to you because the movie does fix a few of the problems that the previous three had but it also introduces a bunch more problems to deal with.
Recommends / Comments Off on Something for the Weekend: How To Train Your Dragon
Two weeks hence will see the release of the sequel to one of my favourite animated movies so naturally this would be a good weekend to pick up a copy of one of my favourite animated movies.
Released in 2010 How To Train Your Dragon is one of the best “boy and his dog” movies that I’ve ever seen. Except the dog happens to be a dragon. And the dragon generally acts like a cat. Hiccup and Toothless become a symbiotic pair and eventually change the world with their friendship. It’s a great movie featuring a great performance from Jay Baruchel, and a fantastic score.
It was nominated for two Oscars (losing Best Animated Feature to Toy Story 3 and Best Score to The Social Network) and won ten Annie Awards including Best Feature.
With a sequel about to be released now is the perfect time to refresh your memory. You can use the links below to buy your copy and help us keep the lights on.
Thanks and enjoy your weekend!
