Did You Buy A Wii U This Year? You May Have Free Digital Deluxe eShop Credit Waiting For You

Just like I did.

Remember the promotion Nintendo ran at the beginning of the year, where (after buying a WiiU) any purchase from their eShop would earn you points? Well, if you have been happily buying the odd title for it, there’s a good chance you have some eShop credit waiting for you.

But you have to hurry a little.

The first thing to note is that this is separate from the [Club Nintendo](https://club.nintendo.com/home.do) reward system, where any new purchases give you points towards game downloads or physical goodies. You would have set up a Nintendo Network account before buying anything online, so it’s still there – go to the [Digital Deluxe reward site](https://p.nintendo.net/deluxe/index.do), sign in (the password retrieval button will probably be your first step as, again, it’s separate from the passcode you use when buying online titles), then see how much goodness has been quietly growing.

I was greeted by three credit codes totaling $15 which quickly went on the beautiful *Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker*, which then earnt me enough points for *another* $5 voucher.

Time’s an issue here – the  promotion ends on December 31st 2014, with allocated codes needing to be claimed before the end of March 2015. However, the credit then sits happily in your account, so you can save it for the new shiny Zelda. Or Starfox. Or Xenoblade, Mario Maker, Splatoon, Captain Toad, Bayonetta 2, Mario Kart 8, ZombiU. Ahem.
