Destiny

I’m your density. I mean, your Destiny. Time to see what we’re up to this weekend!

Simon

Book: Look, I know I have to actually read Super Sad True Love Story: A Novel by October so maybe I’ll even get past chapter one this weekend. Or maybe I’ll just play Destiny.

Song: Trying to spot how much of the Destiny music was written by Marty O’Donnell before he got fired by Bungie. At the moment, it sounds like pure Halo, so I’m hoping it’s all his.

Game: Oh, I don’t know, Destiny? Maybe? For as many hours as I can? Yeah, go on then. It may be a less compelling story than Halo, but the flow of the action is just so enjoyable. More impressions coming soon. Also, Desert Golfing has its claws in me so it isn’t going to be put down any time soon.

TV: Doctor Who, but only because the teaser looks like the infamous are you my daddy? episode. Last week was so awful I was about ready to give up on the whole thing, so it’s definitely down to its final chance. Great British Bake Off on BBC iPlayer, because it’s great. Itching to give Cowboy Bebop a go, too.

Film: Hopefully something out of my growing Netflix queue. Or just more Destiny.

Writing: I hope to write an article about Destiny as soon as I can stop playing Destiny.

Matt

Book: Super Sad True Love Story: A Novel by Gary Shteyngart. I’m so close to starting it’s not even funny.

Book: Ridolfo Capoferro’s The Art and Practice of Fencing: A Practical Translation for the Modern Swordsman by Tom Leoni. Yes, it’s reading for school, but it still totally counts.

Music: Songs of Innocence by U2. I don’t really know why there are people objecting to being given a free U2 album but that’s the world we live in I guess. Even if this one sounds a lot like every other recent U2 album. At least they’re consistent.

I’m on holiday so I’m not going to get to anything else. Hell I probably won’t get to most of these.

Katherine

Book: The Only Thing That Counts: The Ernest Hemingway-Maxwell Perkins Correspondence – Matthew J. Bruccoli

Song: Thinking Out Loud – Ed Sheeran (the entire X album has been on repeat for the last couple months to be honest)

Game: Candy Crush (level 671… only 29 left to go)

TV: Hell on Wheels

Film: The Fifth Estate
