The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part One Teaser: A Message From The Capitol

The Hunger Games / Donald Sutherland

The Capitol isn’t messing around.

Well. That’s effective. The not so veiled threat to the rebels, the almost loving tone that Donald Sutherland strikes as President Snow, and the slow reveal of Peeta at his side. This message is pretty clearly for Katniss and it pretty clearly says “don’t fuck with me.” How great is Donald Sutherland in this? Pretty great. I really like Peeta’s presence here too. Just to the side, not saying anything. When he turns to the camera that moment is.. effective.

There’s still 5 months before the films release on 14th November so you can be sure that this is the first nudge before what will be an escalating series of pushes, but it’s a very effective first nudge.
